How it Works
The device plugs in between
your keyboard and your computer. A microcontroller interprets the data,
and stores information in the non-volatile memory. Non-volatile memory retains
the information even when there is a loss of power. This means that the
KEYKatcher device can be unplugged, and the information will not be lost.
The microcontroller is constantly checking to see if the password has
been typed. As soon as the password sequence is entered, the KEY Katcher
comes to life. A menu is sent to the screen of the computer, and the user
has the option to erase memory, view memory, change password, or disable
the device.
